Church Profile

Built in 1895 and opened in 1896, Sackville Road Methodist Church occupies a central position in Bexhill. As well as formal worship, the church is also used for religious musical events and many local community activities.

Church Services

Services are held every Sunday as follows:

Morning Service: 10.30am
Evening Service: 6.00pm on the third Sunday evening each month (on other Sundays we join in worship with other local Methodist Churches, please see the current Circuit Plan for exact details).

Mid-week Holy Communion - is held on the first Wednesday morning each month at 11am.

Weekday Programme

Monday 2.30pm Monday Fellowship

A friendly light-hearted and welcoming group with a variety of speakers open to everyone.

Tuesday 9.30am to 11.30am Pear Tree Toddler Group

A lively and fun group for the under 5's and their parents and carers.

Friday 10am to 11.30am Coffee Mornings

An opportunity to meet with friends and neighbours for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

Hire of Premises

We have a well equipped kitchen and we are keen for our premises to be used as much as possible by community groups and for private functions by arrangement with our Bookings Secretary.

Groups and organisations that currently use the premises include the Golden Marigold Club, Bexhill Museum coffee morning, Hearing Aid maintenance clinic and Alcoholics Anonymous.

The premises have been adaped to provide a ramp access and wheelchair accessible toilet, hearing loop system and hymn books and Service Books are available in large print.

As with other churches we aren't just here for church members but also for the wider community and their families. Our minister and pastoral visitors will gladly call at your home in times of need.
