Centenary House

Centenary House is a large, detached Edwardian House in Holliers Hill, Bexhill-on-Sea, with four differing sized rooms for hire by local businesses, churches, community groups and individuals. Suitable for:

• training courses,
• meetings,
• counselling sessions,
• videoconferencing,
• ad hoc workspace,
• exhibitions,
• games evenings,
• film nights,
• fundraising events,
• craft or other hobby groups,
• parties and celebrations,
• quiet days,
• and more!

Rooms are available for hire by the hour from 8am to 10pm and hirings can be for one-off events or on a more regular basis.

Before your first use of the building, we will meet with you, show you around and answer any questions you might have. Access to the building is then via self-entry using a key safe system, as there is no permanent caretaker on site.

Our largest room can accommodate around 20 people. Our smallest space is more of a one-to-one counselling room and our other two rooms are somewhere in between.

Full A/V facilities, including a large, wall-mounted screen and suitable videoconferencing camera, are available in the large room, and we also have a couple of smaller television screens which can be used elsewhere. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Please note that, by connecting to our Wi-Fi Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to our acceptable use policy.

Chairs and tables are available and the rooms can be set out in a variety of formats.

Light refreshments can be served from kitchens on both floors. However, alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the premises.

Toilet facilities are available on both floors, and there is disabled access to the front and rear of the house and throughout the ground floor, with easy access to the garden and patio area.

There is no parking on site but parking is normally available on the surrounding streets. There is also a bus stop across the road.

Please note that we will be closed for building works over the summer for about three months. Bookings are thus currently not available from May 26th onwards. We hope to be up and running sometime in September so please do continue to come back and check for updates. Thank you for your patience!
