St Leonard's

St Leonards-on-Sea Methodist Church is situated on the corner of Bohemia Road and Upper Park Road and has a variety of spaces available for hire by local businesses, churches, community groups and individuals. Suitable for:

meetings,
choir or other music rehearsals,
drama productions,
counselling sessions,
exhibitions,
games evenings,
film nights,
fundraising events,
craft or other hobby groups,
parties and celebrations,
quiet days,
and more!

Rooms are available for hire by the hour from 8am to 10pm and hirings can be for one-off events or on a more regular basis.

Before your first use of the building, we will meet with you, show you around and answer any questions you might have. Access to the building is then via self-entry using a key safe system, as there is no permanent caretaker on site. There is also some intial paperwork to sign but this is all very straightforward and is now also all done online.

Our church itself can easily accommodate 100 people and our church hall is a very open space which can be used for a wide variety of activities. Our smallest space is more of a one-to-one counselling room or for small groups and our vestibule is a light, airy space at the front of the building for groups of up to about 25.

There is a TV screen available to provide A/V facilities and Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Please note that, by connecting to our Wi-Fi Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to our acceptable use policy.

Chairs and tables are available and the rooms can be set out in a variety of formats.

Light refreshments can be served from kitchens on both floors. However, alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the premises.

There is a disabled access toilet in the vestibule and there is disabled access to the front and rear of the building.

There is no parking on site but parking is normally available on the surrounding streets. There is also a bus stop across the road.

Bouncy castles are permitted for birthday parties but only under certain conditions as they are not covered by our insurance. If you are thinking of bringing in a bouncy castle, please first read our bouncy castle policy here.

Safeguarding the wellbeing of all our users is central to our life at St Leonards-on-Sea Methodist Church. All hirers are therefore required to abide by our Safeguarding Policy (unless the hiring organisation has an equivalent one of its own). Details of our Safeguarding Policy can be found here.
