Church Profile

Trinity is situated in Broad Oak, next door to Brede Primary School. We are a friendly congregation of 15-20, some of our older members being unable to attend now. We have members from the three villages we serve and some from further afield. We would love you to join our fellowship.

In recent times the building has undergone quite extensive refurbishment and modernisation, some still ongoing. We have created a Wildlife Garden in our churchyard with a grant from Tesco's. This is used by the adjacent primary school for nature study and art work, as well as improved access to the churchyard and benches for people to enjoy our wonderful view over the Brede valley.

Church Services

There is a service every Sunday at 10.30 am. Our worship is mainly traditional, but we occasionally have a Local Arrangement when we may have an informal service, a Songs of Praise or a cafe service. We celebrate Holy Communion once a month. We have a regular organist and hymn books used are Singing the Faith, Hymns & Psalms and Complete Mission Praise.

Church Activities

Book Swap is every Tuesday afternoon, open to the public to swap books and have a cup of tea or coffee. Knitters and Natters meets at the same time, knitting for various charities or their own knitting or craft. Starting 22nd June 2021 a Post Office session will operate on the premises every Tuesday between 2 and 4pm.

Open Door meets on the 3rd Wednesday afternoon of the month at 2.30 pm. This is aimed at older people in the community who do not get out much, and transport is provided on request. There is always tea and homemade cake and a varied programme of activities, including table games, quizzes, musical sessions etc. In the summer we have an outing.

At Christmas, Easter and Harvest we visit two local care homes for a short informal service, then tea with the residents.

Our fund raising activities include concerts, sales and lent lunches.
